It was an electrifying celebration filled with tradition, joy and prosperity; when the spirit of the Lunar New Year came alive at Opus Hospitality’s headquarters in Damansara Heights.

The festivities began in a spectacular fashion as a vibrant lion dance paraded through the office, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of gongs and drums.

Adding to the auspicious energy, was the Jade Emperor himself who made a grand entrance, blessing Opus with much success and abundance for the year ahead.

From 9am to 3pm, it was a full-day celebration and we revelled every moment of it. The entire Opus family was thrilled to be part of this cultural festivity. And, it was made even more special, by the presence of our esteemed leaders and their family members, who added warmth to the occasion.

Whilst the office continued to buzz with positive energy, the generous ang pows were distributed. Clearly receiving an auspicious red packet never fails to put a smile on many delighted faces. With laughter, music and children running around, the occasion was all the more meaningful.

As always, the writer had an eye out for the best-dressed, and this year’s standout was Devin from Opus Imperial. He stole the show in a striking cultural ensemble bursting with absolutely stunning colours and intricate patterns.

Of course, no CNY celebration is complete without a feast. In a true Opus fashion, the beautifully arranged Yee Sang dish was tossed! A symbol of continues prosperity and unity – this colourful arrangement was as stunning to look at, as it was flavourful.

Plus, an indulgent spread of delectable dishes ensured that our bellies were as full as our hearts. And because the spirit of giving extends beyond our office walls, we packed up all the extra food to share the festive joy to others.
